The Yolo County Climate Action and Adaptation Plan Big ideas, real impact.

Yolo County is a resilient, inclusive, and equitable community where government, individuals, businesses, and community-based organizations unite to achieve a carbon-negative footprint. Together, we thrive in the face of climate change adversity, ensuring access to resources for all and creating a sustainable future for generations to come. For these reasons Yolo County adopted the Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP). Michael Hendrix Consulting assists the County in continuing to improve, implement, monitor and revise the CAAP for the health, safety, and welfare of the community the County serves.

  • The Yolo County CAAP is the first climate action plan in California to integrate a Consumption—based inventory and Consumption—based reduction measures into the CAAP that provide the public with the opportunity to reduce their own carbon footprint and contribute toward implementation of the CAAP.
